Store PoliciesMark of Excellence Own Root Roses
Our own root roses are year old plants shipped in special 5 inch deep tree bands designed to allow the rose to develop a strong root system and have no transplant shock such as bare root roses experience. Being first year roses, these plants are smaller than grafted roses, thus saving you shipping expense. Take care to plant your rose(s) immediately or as soon as possible after receiving your order and follow the enclosed planting instructions. Your rose(s) will grow rapidly into (a) mature plant(s) that will give enjoyment and last many years. A planting guide and care instructions are included with each order. PaymentPayment is due in full and will be charged at the time of order entry. We accept checks, money orders VISA, Discover, and Mastercard. Oregon has no sales tax. All payment to be in U.S. funds. Shipping InformationMark of Excellence Roses ships most items with UPS. Rates are calculated based on the type of service selected and destination. There is a packaging and handling fee of $4.95 per shipment. In the event no one is home to receive your order, we recommend you send your package to a business address to ensure delivery. Sending your package to a commercial address will also guarantee a speedy arrival. Before accepting your delivery, you are required to inspect each and every box for damaged or missing items. Accepting delivery of a shipment is your acknowledgement that the item(s) were received in 100% usable condition and that you have received every item as listed on the package. If you are not required to sign for a shipment, and you received damaged goods, please contact the carrier immediately to refuse shipment. Once an order is delivered and accepted, the return options for that order become limited. Any damaged or missing items not noted at the time of delivery must be reported within 5 business days of receiving the shipment. Shipping SeasonMark of Excellence Roses ships all 12 months of the year, depending on the weather in your area. Plants are shipped dormant in December through February and semi-dormant in November. The plants will have broken dormancy and will be shipped semi-dormant in March. They will be leafed out and growing the rest of the year. Please plan your shipping date to coincide with or follow the date of the past frost in your area and at least six weeks before the first frost in the fall. Our GuaranteeWe pride ourselves on providing you with the best own root roses you can buy. We guarantee our roses to be true to type and free of rose mosaic virus. They are guaranteed to grow and thrive under normal growing conditions. If you believe there is a problem with your shipment, please notify us immediately. If, after following the enclosed planting guide and care instructions, your rose(s) are not thriving and we are notified within three months of the receipt of your shipment, we will immediately replace your order, depending on availability. We cannot be responsible for abnormal weather conditions such as extreme heat or freezing temperatures in your area affecting your rose(s). Nor can we be responsible for negligence on the part of the grower in planting or caring for the rose(s). Return PolicyFreight DamageIn the event you receive an item damaged in transit, please contact us at customerservice@markofexcellenceroses.com within 5 business bays after receiving your package.
